Lighthouse and our neighbor Himitsu are teaming up for a mid-summer treat.

On Sunday July 23, we’ll be offering a special 1 pm yoga class followed by a three-course lunch at Himitsu! Register here.

We start with a 75-minute creative and invigorating all-levels vinyasa flow class taught by guest instructor Shayna Frankel. The class will focus on the connection between mind & body by interweaving breath and movement together. Attention to alignment, hands-on assists and adjustments will be provided. This class is open to all levels of experience and modifications will be offered.

Following our flow, we will head around the corner and enjoy a delicious 3-course private lunch at Himitsu, one of DC’s most popular and noteworthy new restaurants. The lunch will start with a choice of vegetarian or non-veg appetizers, a main course of Korean Fried Chicken or a vegetarian/vegan option, and dessert. A non-alcholic drink is included.

Cost: $65 includes yoga, lunch, tax and tip.

About the instructor:

Shayna, a Maryland native, finished her 200-hr RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) training at Tranquil Space Yoga Studio in 2014 and recently completed the course work for her 500-hour advanced training. She currently teaches many varieties of vinyasa yoga for adults and children, catering each class to meet the needs of her students. She aims to create a welcoming and friendly space where students can be comfortable exploring their own edge without self-judgment. Shayna loves crafting creative playlists that can help guide her students through each moment of class from centering the mind to finding bliss in savasana.

About Himitsu:

Located on the up-and-coming Upshur Street corridor in Petworth, Himitsu has received rave reviews as one of DC’s top new restaurants. Himitsu, named after the Japanese word for “secret,” is Japanese-inspired.  Their menu combines freshness, acidity and herbs, leaning heavily on Latin American and Southeast Asian flavor profiles.
