Teacher: Julie Eisenberg (Jiwan Shakti Kaur)

Julie is a lifelong vegetarian who learned the hard way. Even as a child, she never had a taste for meat. But growing up in meat-centric Wisconsin and then Santiago, Chile, finding healthy, affordable and easy vegetarian options became her passion. After spending a decade working as a union organizer in the meat-packing industry, she realized that it’s an ethical imperative to help others cut back on meat consumption.
