Join us for a 7-Day Supported Cleanse – July 9-16, 2017

plant-690051__180Are you ready to take your wellness to the next level? Dedicate yourself to one full week of healthy eating, daily yoga, and connecting with others who are doing the same. This summer, Lighthouse is hosting a Green Cleanse, one of many diets that Yogi Bhajan has recommended, according to the teachings of Kundalini Yoga.

The cleanse will kick off with a 2-hour Kundalini Yoga Workshop on Sunday, July 9 at 3 pm. The workshop will be followed by a 45-minute info session to discuss the details of the cleanse and get everyone off on the right foot. The group cleanse will end after Sadhana on Sunday July 16.

The practice of yoga is not just what we do “on the mat.” A yogic lifestyle extends to how we live our daily lives, including what and how we eat and how we care for ourselves.

For one week, we will commit to eating “green” and to abstain from processed foods, meat, coffee, alcohol, and other foods that simply don’t serve our body well. We will also kiwi-1432088__180commit to coming to the mat at least once per day.

This group cleanse will be fully supported; we will provide you with lists of recommended foods to eat and to avoid, including recipes and shopping ideas. Upon registration, you’ll receive a shopping list and some preparation guidelines. Recipes will be provided throughout the cleanse.

All of the recipes are:

  • Vegan
  • Dairy Free
  • Gluten Free
  • Sugar Free
  • Grain Free

We’ll start each day by coming together at 6:30 am for a group Sunrise Yoga class. The classes will be a mixture of Kundalini and Hatha Yoga, and no experience is necessary. Daily early morning classes will be followed by a group check-in and cleanse-supporting snack. You will also receive daily emails with snack suggestions and tips to keep up. Classes will include both Kundalini and Hatha practices.

Beautiful, Bountiful and Blissful am I: A Kundalini Yoga Workshop to Cleanse and Renew

Kundalini yogaKundalini Yoga is a powerful technology for transition and awareness. The practice opens us up to the possibility of transformation, in our daily lives and in the world! In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll explore some kriyas and meditations that will help us cleanse and detoxify the body, spirit and mind. We let go of what doesn’t serve us, both physically and emotionally, and start to build more health and stamina. Let your inner light shine, and find your true beauty!

This workshop will allow us to let go of what doesn’t serve us in our lives right now and then prepare ourselves for a week of rejuvenation and renewal. This class will set the stage for the cleanse and will leave you feeling lighter and more motivated.

This workshop will be followed by a free 45-minute introduction to the Green Cleanse that will start on Sunday night.

Green Cleanse Orientation Session

Sunday July 9, 5:15-6 pm, following the workshop, we’ll have a discussion about what to expect during the cleanse week. You don’t have to attend the workshop to come to the orientation session, but please let us know to expect you. If you can’t make it to either the workshop or the orientation, we’ll email you a shopping list beforehand, so you’ll be all ready to start on Sunday evening on your own.

This is a fairly simple diet, and there are plenty of options for meal time.  To get you started, please read this excellent article here, which includes a list of allowable foods, some do’s and don’t’s, and an explanation of how the cleanse works. You’ll note that the Green Cleanse is recommended for 40 days; we’re going to do the first week together, but hopefully you’ll be inspired to carry on!

Basics: Eat green foods. Vegetables, fruits, mung beans, split peas, green tea, etc. Spices, olive oil, and yogi tea are all allowed. Don’t eat: coffee, alcohol, bread, grains, sugar, or any artificially processed foods (so no lime jello!). Easy and healthy.


Daily Yoga Classes

Can’t make it for the sunrise classes? Talk to us about mid-morning or evening alternatives.

Pricing Options:

$108 for full the week, including the Sunday workshop, 5 Sunrise Yoga classes, daily check-ins, and other support.

$70 for members and teacher trainees.
