Deepen your practice and learn to take your seat as a yoga teacher in a confident and authentic way with our in-depth 6-month Yoga Teacher Training.
In this program, you will:
- Increase your knowledge of the elements of a well-rounded yoga practice including yoga postures, fundamental yoga philosophy, basic pranayama and meditation techniques.
- Explore the subtler energies, which inform asana, pranayama and meditation, as well as how to use those to deepen your experiences and teach those practices effectively.
- Study anatomy in order to sequence classes in a bio-mechanically sound and wholistic way.
- Articulate alignment principles and actions with clarity to effectively and safely lead students of all levels and needs through several different styles of practice.
- Explore a wide range of meditation and Yoga styles (including basic Hatha, Kundalini, Yin and Restorative Yoga) to help inform your overall practice and teaching
- Plan creative, authentic classes that inspire, empower, and educate your students.
- Discover your ability to take the seat of the teacher with confidence and integrity.
- Learn in a community-based studio with passionate teachers and fellow students who are invested in your success.
- This training is Yoga Alliance Certified, and it is our intention that you will leave this program able to teach any class on our schedule, including Kundalini, Restorative and Yin, if you so desire.

Course requirements include:
- Live attendance at group training sessions (missed hours will need to be made up either through replays or one on one with teachers)*
- A regular Hatha yoga practice both at home and a minimum of 30 in-studio Yoga classes*
- Weekly classes taken with Tara, Rebecca or Manju*
- Homework/reading assignments
- A teaching practicum
- Successful completion of a final independent project.
*We are committed to making this training flexible for your schedule – we will work with you to make sure necessary hours and assignments are made up and completed. Please just communicate conflicts with us when you register or as they come up.
While these dates are confirmed with all teachers, there may be some adjustment to days or hours as we enter the course and need to work around unexpected conflicts with either a bulk of students or teachers. In such cases we will work with all to find an optimal substitute date or teacher.
Studio classes must be at Lighthouse (trainees are eligible for a discounted membership pass)

Book Clubs – Weekly 1 hr book discussion studying the major texts of Yoga, let by Tara, online or on record, Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30pm.

Compassion Cultivation Training – Weekly class, Brandel France DeBravo, October 28-December 16, Mondays, 7-9pm, online and recorded
Cost:
Full cost is $3,348 which includes all class hours and printed handouts/binder.
Price excludes text books, membership at Lighthouse (required). Textbooks are estimated at between $70 and $100 for the course. Monthly membership at Lighthouse for YTT students is $80 per month for the year commitment (a discount of 20%).
Payment plans are available. We request that payments be made by check or Venmo (non-purchase); a small service charge will be added to credit card payments.

Work-Study Opportunities:
Lighthouse provides a limited number of work-study opportunities, to help our community members with less cash flow fully participate in the trainings. Work study applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and will be allocated based on need.
